Asbestos Consulting Services
Serious solutions for a protected future.
We are trained to work with the removal of pollution or contaminants from environmental media such as soil, groundwater, sediment, or surface water for the general protection of human health and the environment or from a brown field site intended for redevelopment. Remediation is generally subject to an array of regulatory requirements, and also can be based on assessments of human health and ecological risks where no legislated standards exist or where standards are advisory.
Project management of asbestos removal is vital to ensure occupant safety and peace of mind as well as to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. On-site Project Managers continuously inspect the enclosure, decontamination facility, equipment, negative pressure, dust suppression, worker protection and clean-up to add significantly to the quality and safety of the work. All of Dolphins Project Managers possess both technical training and field experience prior to performing independent project management.
Case Study Example:
1 Prepairing with Equipment. Before any work is performed, our team needs to have the right protective clothing in order to ensure the safety of not only the workers but the people who occupy the area. This includes a proper respirator, vented eye protection, disposable coveralls with booties, disposable rubber gloves and soft rubber boots.
Tools required include a tank sprayer and liquid detergent for wetting the asbestos materials, dust pans, wallboard taping, putty knives, a step ladder, polyethylene plastic sheeting, asbestos waste disposal bags, duct tape, clean, disposable rags and encapsulate paints or asbestos sealers.
2 Prep The Work Area. We move to the next step by putting up warning signs for any unexpected visitors, remove all furniture (simply covering it isn’t enough), turn off all climate control, cover all vents, and cut off all electrical power to the room or area of the house. Finally, remove all light fixtures and smoke alarms, sealing the exposed wires with electrical tape.
Next, our team will need to build a containment area. This basically consists of using the polyethylene plastic sheeting to cover the walls, ceiling (unless that is the area from which asbestos is being removed), windows and doors. You’ll also want to build an “air lock” where workers will remove and leave their protective clothing when leaving the containment area.
3 Removing The Asbestos. When we are requested to remove asbestos, the material must be documented and removed by a licensed asbestos contractor as required by the State of Texas. An inspector must submit an application and pay a fee to take samples and have analyzed for to determine if the house or building has asbestos content.
If asbestos is found in a lab based testing, additional phases are address. These phases are established by our team of professionals to then evaluate the site and determine the most appropriate way to removal the asbestos building material.
4 Getting Rid of It. Asbestos waste may legally be disposed of only at approved landfills. Illegal dumping of asbestos and other toxic materials is a serious problem. Asbestos containing material is considered toxic. The material is considered a hazardous material and is required to be deposited in a specific type of landfill.
Asbestos is a hazardous air pollutant that is regulated by the state and federal governments. The State of Texas regulates how persons work with asbestos and also regulates those who train persons to work with asbestos.

A Dolphin professional will be able to identify the type of services and associated fees that are most appropriate for your particular project.
Dolphin Project Managers document observations made during the inspection, including contractors work procedures and progress of work. Our site documentation report provides an independent record of contractors work practices and confirms the effectiveness of the protection for areas outside the work site. A copy of the documentation report is maintained on-site and a complete documentation package is provided upon completion of the project.

Dolphin operates on the safe side.
All Dolphin employees will observe and document compliance with relevant regulations and standards and note the protective measures taken to isolate the work area from the occupants. We will provide on-site direction to correct problems and prevent improper removal. We will conduct area and personnel air sampling to insure the fiber concentration levels are not exposing the contractors employees to asbestos fibers.
We will also conduct air sampling outside the asbestos removal area to insure your building occupants are not exposed to elevated levels of airborne asbestos fibers. Our personnel will conduct visual inspections and air sampling to provide you with final project clearance documentation.More Information
